Wooden Table is owned and operated by head baker, Andrés, who grew up outside of Buenos Aires and learned to cook from their grandmother. “It is from her that I inherited my love of cooking. I remember being next to her at our wooden table cooking all weekend! We aptly named our company after this shared wooden table - to honor the heritage on which our company’s recipes are founded.” Immigrant-owned, LGBTQ-certified business.
Nopalera was founded to elevate and celebrate Latin Culture. Their products are Inspired by the beauty and richness of Mexico. "Growing up, nopales were everywhere. We’d frequently cut them from our own yard and cook them. Later, I began using nopales in my artisan bath and body products, and Nopalera was born." Sandra Jeff / founder. Mike Alfaro is the creator of Millennial Lotería, a modern adaptation of the traditional Mexican bingo game. Originally from Guatemala, Alfaro moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and sought to create a version of the game that resonated with the experiences of Hispanic-American millennials. His reimagined cards, which he first shared on Instagram, went viral and led to a partnership with Blue Star Press for wider distribution. Inspired by childhood memories and his grandmother, Alfaro has expanded the brand to include various editions and expansion packs.
Progeny Coffee Farmers was founded by Maria Palacio and Juan Felipe, who are dedicated to producing high-quality Colombian coffee while supporting social impact initiatives. Their mission is to lift Colombian farmers out of poverty by ensuring full transparency and fair practices throughout the supply chain. They specialize in sourcing the best specialty micro-lot coffee from Colombia.
