Thanksgiving Day Clean and Modern Autumnal Tablescape Inspiration

Posted by on

Thanksgiving is upon us and maybe like me you are scrambling: trying to remember how that darn turkey needs to be cooked again, what the flowers on your table are going to look like, what time is the best time to hit the grocery store, when you'll start preparing food, if you want new flatware or plates for your table + we all have to think about Black Friday the day after, shopping for the holidays, getting the advent calendar or gifts for Hanukkah in time so we aren't scrambling the day before.... (by the way, I do have a good blog post on Advent calendar ideas here). Whew!!! That's a lot.

Before we go down the road of self-imploding (I mean did you just get a little anxious reading that because I just got a little light-headed writing it!) let's take a moment to remember how amazing the week of Thanksgiving is. This holiday is probably one of the only holidays where we just eat and chill. I absolutely love it. One of the best. No worries about gifts, no greedy children (although precious) tearing through wrapping paper, no obligations but the Thanksgiving day parade on TV, and no shopping, yet. Just be with family and friends and enjoy BEING. Give thanks to be alive if anything else.

Maybe some of you are still looking for inspiration on your the look of your table. If so, today, I'm sharing a beautiful tablescape idea with you that we we put together with some wonderful vendors. It was recently featured on Green Wedding Shoes as well! Taking a lovely blank white canvas in Creative Space Studios, Liza of Studio DBI brought together a modern tablescape, while sticking to the contemporary + minimalist vision. This ultra mod friends/fam-giving also includes a fall-themed signature drink, tasty array of snacks and desserts, and a thoughtful host/hostess gift from yours truly!

Favors for Thanksgiving

Sure, it might be enough that you are hosting a full on 20+ people for Thanksgiving day, but sometimes a little favor that they can take with them adds that extra bonus and touch to a beautiful table scape. Here we paired our Jamnation jam and Brass Spoon (found in our Host Your Heart Out Gift Set).

It's all about the details. It's not about putting more on the table, but keeping it clean and simple. I mean, you need room for all of the food! We love the simple menu, nice muted flatware and plain plates that keep the eye on the food. And just look and those delicious apps and small floral accents.

Drinks at the party are nice for guests. Come up with one that they can make themselves. I love this menu idea. Oh, and find a good bitters to go along with it! You can find this bitters and a lovely glass tumbler in our Mixologist Gift Box. Just perfect gift for the person who loves to mix drinks and for the hostess of the event.

Hostess Gifts

Hostess Gifts for the Holidays

Alternatively to hosting a Thanksgiving or holiday event, going to one is such a relief. You can't forget all of the work that your host or hostess is taking off of your plate. Get them a little something that they can enjoy during the day and beyond. Flowers are also welcome, a bottle of wine they can enjoy on their own and not at the event, or a gift box of yummy goodies they can partake in after the guests leave. We have a great selection of those here: SHOP NOW. The one pictured above is our Host Your Heart Out.
